NPK or the 3 essential nutrients
Nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) are known as the three crucial nutrients for healthy plant growth.
- Nitrogen (N): for plant growth, and greening up plants — think UP.
- Phosphorus (P): for better root developement, and helping produce blooms — think DOWN.
- Potassium (K): promotes all around wellbeing, improves resistance to illnesses and droughts — think ALL AROUND.
Here is how to naturally get those nutrients:
- Nitrogen (N): nettle slurry, coffee grounds
- Phosphorus (P): ground egg shells, wood ash[1]
- Potassium (K): ground egg shells, banana peels, comfrey slurry[2]
