Turnips with honey and zaatar

France's recipe: great as a side, can be eaten hot or cold.


  • 1 turnip
  • Honey
  • Zaatar
  • Flake saltoptional


  1. Boil or steam the turnip until it is cooked through.
  2. Roughly peel the turnip and slice it.
  3. Add a tablespoon of olive oil in a pan and add the turnip slices. Fry them until they are golden on both sides.
  4. Place the slices on a big plate, drizzle with honey, top with the salt and a generous amount of zaatar.
