The gardening nitrogen bomb

Ingredients

  • 1 kg nettle, roughly cut
  • 10 L water

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Mix everyting in a big pot, cover and let it ferment for 1–2 weeks in a dark room.
  2. Make sure to stir the mix every two days.
  3. The fermentation should be done once there is no more bubbles forming.
  4. Filter and store it for up to one month, in a dark cold room.

Use

  1. Before planting: Mix 1 part nettle slurry with 4 parts water. Submerge your seedlings roots in this mixture for 15–30 minutes before planting.
  2. For growth: Mix 1 part nettle slurry with 10 parts water. Make sure to water your plants normally first, before watering them with this mix. You can use this mix every two weeks.
