Chocolate coconut cream

What kind of dessert can you make without an oven? I discovered this super simple recipe while traveling in Southeast Asia. Over there, ovens are rare and chocolate desserts are expensive. This chocolate cream is the perfect answer to both issues!

Ingredients

  • 400–500 ml coconut cream
  • 1 chocolate bar

Instructions

  1. Bring the coconut cream to a gentle boil.
  2. Add the chocolate bar and let it melt. Be careful not to burn the ingredients.
  3. When the mixture is homogenous, let it simmer for five more minutes or until the desired thickness.
  4. Pour the cream in a heatproof recipient and let it cool down in the fridge for at least two hours.
